A Sense of Place: Private Tour + Lunch van der Kamp Vineyard 

IN THE REALM OF WINE, THE TERM "SENSE OF PLACE" EMBODIES MORE THAN JUST TERROIR; IT ENCAPSULATES THE SOUL OF A VINEYARD, THE ECHOES OF ITS HISTORY, AND THE PROFOUND CONNECTION IT FOSTERS WITH ALL WHO TREAD UPON ITS SACRED GROUND. THERE ARE FEW PLACES IN CALIFORNIA WHERE THIS ESSENCE IS MORE PALPABLE THAN VAN DER KAMP VINEYARD.

This land has been a bastion of tradition and stewardship, nurturing not only exceptional Pinot vines planted in 1952 but also safeguarding the profound legacy of this hallowed ground, revered as the cradle of life itself by the Coast Miwok tribe. Millennia of travelers have been drawn to its enchanting allure, and today, the Van Der Kamp family continues to honor its spirit with unwavering dedication.

Please join us for a special lunch in a very special vineyard. 

In our quest to set a new standard for the enjoyment and appreciation of wine, we can think of no better place to assemble all of the elements that create magic memorable moments. 

We will gather around a table, with thoughtfully crafted food, interesting individuals and stimulating conversation. Chuck and Ryan will share stories and experiences about how the van der Kamp family and their vineyard stewardship. There are thousands of variables and decisions that can influence a wines character. One essential ingredient stands out to shine above them all. Love. Please come break bread with us and experience Love as a flavor.  

We have assembled a mixed case of wine, featuring multiple vintages from the van der Kamp Vineyard. The selection will replicate the wines served during lunch and includes our flagship wine 2015 Po·lyph·o·ny (the first vintage to include wines produced from the van der Kamp Old Vines block). The Retail Price for this case is $1,325. 

With your purchase of this case for the Special Member Price of $800, you may reserve two seats at the table and share a multi-coursed lunch and wine-pairing with us.

Thanksgiving is our favorite holiday because it combines all the things we love - great food, great wine, the people who matter most, and sharing feelings of gratitude. So rather than wait until the end of November, we will once again be celebration our summertime version of Thanksgiving with a Lobster Feed. After all, the first Thanksgiving on Plymouth colony in 1621 had lobsters on the table. 

We're teaming up once again with the amazing family-owned caterers, Menegon Catering, who specialize in traditional lobster feeds. We'll gather around the table, put on our bibs, and watch the BIG POUR!  Bring your appetite as there will be lobster, prawns, corn, artichokes, and lots more!

There is no more perfect pairing than lobster and Chardonnay. We'll be featuring our Chardonnays at this event and of course there will be plenty of Pinot Noir on the table as well.
